Job Description Fire Sprinkler Designers – Austin, TX An established and growing fire protection contractor in Austin, TX is seeking two experienced Fire Sprinkler Designers to join their team. This is a great opportunity to be part of a collaborative, fast-paced, and supportive environment working on high-profile, long-term projects. Position Details Title: Fire Sprinkler Designer (2 openings) Location: Austin, TX Compensation: $60,000 – $135,000 annually ($30–$50/hr DOE) Projects You’ll Work On You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to major commercial and institutional projects across Central Texas, including: Large-scale airport developments (prevailing wage projects) University and educational facilities High-end mixed-use and commercial builds Long-term construction projects (typically 12 months) What They’re Looking For Active NICET Level III or RME-G License (required) 4 years of fire sprinkler system design and engineering experience Strong leadership and project management skills Proficiency in design software such as HydraCAD, HydraCALC, SprinkCAD, AutoSPRINK, or Revit Solid understanding of NFPA standards, fire protection codes, and hydraulic calculations Excellent communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills Ability to collaborate across teams and occasionally travel between offices Culture This is a tight-knit, team-driven environment with a big emphasis on honesty, collaboration, and energy.
