Job Description:
SUMMARY: The School Psychology Specialist/Psychological Examiner
is responsible for assessing and evaluating students from
pre-kindergarten to twelfth grade. Interviewing, observing, and
administering and interpreting standardized testing instruments
that measure cognitive and academic abilities, or describe
behavior, personality characteristics, attitude or aptitude, in
order to determine eligibility for special education services,
placement, or conduct re-evaluations. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct/administer educational/psychological assessments in
accordance with state and federal guidelines and requirements for
the purpose of determining presence of a disability under current
state and federal laws and criteria Prepare written reports of
results of assessments for local school staff and parents, with
recommendations Present results of assessments to local school
staff and parents Coordinate Functional Assessment of Behavior to
develop Behavior Intervention Plans for students with behaviors of
concern Monitor Behavior Support Plans with local district staff
for adjustment/progress Prepare materials for local staff and
parents based upon results of assessments and/or intervention plans
Prepare and conduct Professional Development Consult with local
instructional staff, building administrators, Special Education
Supervisors, ADE Special Education Staff Travel to various schools
within our consortium QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in School
Psychology/Psychology Practicum experience in
educational/psychological assessment for early childhood and school
aged children Must be licensed in Arkansas as Psychological
Examiner and/or certified by Department of Education as School
Psychology Specialist Knowledge is required to perform advanced
math; Review and interpret highly technical information, and
analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions. Specific
knowledge-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the
functions of the job include: psychology and educational
principles; and pertinent codes, policies, regulations and/or law.

that the employee be able to: sit, stand, walk, speak, hear, use
hands, fingers, reach with hands and fingers; bend, stoop, lift
objects of at least 20 pounds. Job requires the employee
occasionally to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Visual ability
requires mono and color vision, close vision, distance vision,
depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This is a 205
day-contract position. This position involves constant traveling to
various school districts within the Arch Ford region. Benefits
