Job Description Position: Engineering Drafter Location: Austin,
TX 78744 Duration: 12-Month Contract Work Hours: Monday–Friday,
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Job Overview This entry-level drafting role
involves preparing, updating, and maintaining engineering drawings
and technical documents using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
The position includes both office and occasional field work under
supervision and guidance. Key Responsibilities Prepare and revise
engineering drawings, maps, and layouts using CAD tools. Perform
field observations and update as-built drawings. Interpret
engineering and construction drawings. Assist with reports, work
orders, and material lists. Conduct basic research in engineering
databases and document management systems. Operate equipment such
as plotters, scanners, and printers. Qualifications 5 years of
experience in technical drafting or analysis using CAD software.
Degree in CAD or related field may substitute for experience.
Skills & Abilities Strong understanding of drafting principles and
engineering standards. Experience with CAD and document management
systems (EDMS). Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work
collaboratively in a team environment.
