determined through a comprehensive approach that considers
candidate qualifications, role responsibilities, market benchmarks,
and organizational needs. Pay may vary by location with potential
eligibility for bonuses or commission depending on the role and
type of position. About the Role: At Element U.S. Space & Defense,
we support the nation’s defense and space missions by providing
critical testing services that ensure safety, quality, and
performance. Our internship program offers a unique opportunity for
students to gain hands-on experience working alongside industry
experts across our Dynamics, Ballistics, and Environmental testing
departments. Interns will be exposed to real-world testing
processes, advanced equipment, and cutting-edge projects that
directly support aerospace and defense customers. This experience
is designed to build practical skills, deepen technical knowledge,
and provide meaningful insight into a career within the space and
defense industry. All training will be provided. CORE
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Test Setup - Read
specifications from technical documents (Test Standards, Customer
SOWs, and Test Plans/Procedures), identify/prepare test equipment
Perform Testing - Monitor tests per specifications, interact with
customers if needed, troubleshoot, and document all pertinent data
Data Processing - After test completion, verify, review and
document all pertinent data. Finalize data and send to the Program
Manager Lab Maintenance / Post-Test Breakdown - Physically remove
test items. Maintain lab by cleaning all equipment, keeping
calibrated instruments current, & organizing supplies Other -
Perform other duties as assigned CORE REQUIREMENTS: Under general
supervision; completes intermediate technical and mechanical
procedures, regularly interacts with clients, troubleshoots and
reworks standard tests. Intermediate interpretation and analysis of
test results Comprehensive knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical &
Dynamics principles, working knowledge of basic safety practices;
basic understanding of AC/DC circuits Able to use all standard
Dynamics equipment; able to accurately capture necessary data;
basic MS Office skills Basic MS Office skills MINIMUM EDUCATION AND
EXPERIENCE: Currently enrolled in a technical or engineering
program of study Must have a valid driver's license Experience with
hand tools Must be a US Citizen WORKING CONDITIONS: Test lab with
exposure to sudden, loud noises PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While
performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally
required to stand; walk; sit; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel;
crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must
occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision
abilities required by the job include close vision, distance
vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the
