They assess patient needs, clean teeth, take and develop dental x-rays, and educate patients on proper oral hygiene. They adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and protocols related to dental hygiene and maintain accurate patient records.Key Responsibilities:Prepare treatment room and select materials and equipment for dental hygiene visits.Provide oral hygiene and postoperative instructions to patients and answer their questions.Maintain and sterilize dental instruments, document dental hygiene services and maintain confidentiality of patient information.Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhere to infection-control policies and protocols, and conserve dental resources.Ensure proper functioning of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and evaluating new equipment and techniquesAdditional Details: Up to $3,000 Bonus AvailableQualifications & Requirements:EducationGraduate from an accredited Dental Hygienist schoolExperienceTwo (2) years experiencePrevious correctional/detention facility experienceFive (5) years experienceLicenses/CertificationsUnrestricted current Dental Hygiene license, certification or registration in state of practice - must maintain all certifications, educational requirements, licensing, etc.Current (and must maintain) lifesaving BLS certification through AHACurrent (and must maintain) lifesaving ACLS certification through AHAWe are an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer:We are committed to fostering, cultivating, and preserving a culture of uniqueness.We celebrate a variety of backgrounds and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.We encourage you to apply!
