specialized knowledge in VV/VA ECMO and advanced heart failure
management to become part of a collaborative ICU team in Austin,
TX. This position entails overseeing high-acuity patients in
medical, surgical, neuro, and cardiac ICUs, emphasizing a

with you. We are looking for a skilled Intensivist experienced in
managing VV/VA ECMO patients to join our team at a prominent
medical center in Austin. Enjoy working with exceptional

Community-Centric Approach in Austin Team Collaboration: The
medical center serves as a comprehensive stroke and referral center
for neurosurgery and neurovascular care, featuring a 24-bed
medical/surgical ICU and a 16-bed Neurocritical Care Unit. We
maintain strong partnerships with consulting services such as
Interventional Radiology, Neurology, Anesthesia, and Cardiology. We
have a dedicated VV ECMO program. Recognized by Healthgrades in
March 2025 as one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for critical
care, our facility ranks in the top 2% for various specialty care
areas. The Heart Hospital of Austin is acknowledged as a Top 50
Cardiovascular Hospital by IMB Watson Health, featuring a 14-bed
CVICU and an Advanced Heart Failure Program with an expanding VA
ECMO service. Qualifications: Must be a board-certified or
board-eligible critical care physician (MD or DO). Active Texas
medical license is preferred. A strong commitment to delivering
excellent clinical service, with essential problem-solving skills
for the ICU environment. Experience with advanced heart failure
patients, VA/VV ECMO, and LVAD is required, ideally with 2-3 years
of practice as a board-certified Intensivist. Practice at the Heart
of the Community Scheduling: Enjoy day shifts only with minimal
on-call duties from home while working at the Heart Hospital,
following a 7/7 off schedule. Key Responsibilities: Provide care
for medical, surgical, neuro, and cardiac ICU patients, handling a
diverse range of high-acuity cases, making it an ideal setting for
those dedicated to treating critically ill individuals. Living and
