Job Description:

Unity Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our 3 West Med Surg team. This position entails providing high-quality medical and surgical care to patients during night shifts and every other weekend (EOW). Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a medical-surgical environment. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate integrated and comprehensive care. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor patients for adverse reactions. Record patient's medical information and vital signs, update health charts and communicate patient condition as necessary. Supervise and mentor new staff or nursing students. Ensure that patient care is delivered in accordance with established hospital policies and that patient satisfaction is being met. Adhere to safety standards and protocols, including hygiene and infection control measures. Excellent bedside manner and strong communication skills Proficiency in electronic healthcare documentation and patient management software Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public Ability to respond efficiently and effectively in emergency situations Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice Basic Life Support (BLS) certified by the American Heart Association or Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
