Job Description:
Encompass Health Corporation, a leader in integrative healthcare
services, is looking for a Quality/Risk Director to join our
dedicated team. This pivotal role is based within our Quality
Assurance & Testing department and focuses on enhancing patient
care quality across our network of inpatient rehabilitation
hospitals and home health and hospice agencies. The Quality/Risk
Director will drive initiatives that promote operational excellence
and compliance with healthcare regulations, ensuring the highest
standards of patient safety and care are achieved throughout the
organization. Develop and implement quality assurance policies and
protocols across the organization. Lead risk assessment and
management processes to identify and mitigate potential risks to
patient safety and care quality. Coordinate with various
departments to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local
healthcare regulations. Monitor performance metrics and implement
improvements in patient care practices. Facilitate staff training
and development on best practices in healthcare quality and risk
management. Compile and report on quality and risk performance data
to senior management. Engage with healthcare accreditation bodies
and manage periodic review and accreditation processes. Strong
leadership and organizational skills In-depth knowledge of
healthcare systems and regulations Excellent analytical and
problem-solving abilities Effective communication and interpersonal
skills Proficiency in data analysis tools and software pertinent to
