Job Description Job Description The Principal Quality Engineer
will develop and lead data-driven quality systems that use SPC,
measurement analysis, and advanced analytics to proactively detect
risks, control variation, and improve reliability across production
operations. This role partners closely with design, operations,
suppliers, and NPI teams to embed smart-factory practices-such as
predictive quality, automation, and digital traceability-ensuring
strong product performance and exceptional customer outcomes. What
You Will Do Drive transformation initiatives that elevate
manufacturing risk management, quality standards, and continuous
improvement. Build and implement quality systems that support
smart-factory capabilities, including automation, metrology,
inspection, testing, and predictive analytics. Collaborate with
cross-functional engineering teams to integrate quality solutions
directly into production workflows. Develop, deploy, and sustain
Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems using industry-standard
tools. Lead Gauge R&R and measurement system analyses to ensure
accurate and reliable data. Convert DFM and PFMEA insights into
practical process controls across manufacturing lines. Conduct
advanced data analysis to identify trends, detect anomalies, and
enable predictive quality. Manage supplier qualification, audits,
and ongoing supplier quality performance. Implement and maintain
digital traceability systems for compliance and continuous
improvement. Support new customer engagements, including quality
requirement reviews and alignment with contract manufacturing
standards. Lead structured problem-solving efforts for internal and
supplier-related issues. Partner with NPI teams to ensure quality
considerations are built into new product introductions. Explore
and apply AI and automation technologies (machine vision,
predictive analytics, digital twins, anomaly detection) to enhance
quality and efficiency. Ensure adherence to industry quality
standards such as ISO 9001 or IATF 16949. What You Bring Advanced
degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related
field. 10-15 years of experience in complex, high-volume
manufacturing, including 5 years in leadership or transformation
roles. Deep expertise in analytical and statistical methods such as
regression, DOE, SPC, PFMEA, Gauge R&R, and commonality
studies. Strong skills with data-driven tools (Minitab, JMP,
Python, R, SQL, etc.) for analyzing large datasets. Proven ability
to improve yield, reliability, and process robustness. Excellent
communication skills for both executive-level and technical
audiences. Background in electronics assembly, PCBA, server
hardware, or other high-reliability industries (e.g., aerospace,
medical devices, automotive). Experience mentoring teams in
data-driven decision-making. Proficiency with CAD tools
(SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and automation platforms (Siemens,
Allen-Bradley). Experience with PLC programming, robotics
integration, and industrial sensing technologies. Familiarity with
MES systems and automation scripting (Python, SQL). Equal
