Job Purpose

The Project Manager is responsible for directing in-house crews and subcontractors. Also, they work directly with customers and are involved in bidding and billing projects. This position supports the Project Management and Construction team and customers in addition to various personnel in the company.

Essential Functions

  1. Manage and lead internal and external project teams to ensure on-budget and on-schedule delivery.

  2. Report and communicate to external customer(s) and internal management each day.

  3. Build processes and teams required to deliver all project requirements.

  4. Coordinate with the Project Construction Lead for timing, execution, and closeout of individual projects.

  5. Lead weekly meetings with the client and project team.

  6. Send crews to projects and direct them on the overall tasks needed to be completed.

  7. Bid and bill each project once complete.

  8. Approve timesheets and daily logs.

  9. Ensure the crew has the correct equipment needed for the project.

  10. Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. A High School Diploma, or equivalent.

  2. 3 years of construction project experience.

  3. Advanced experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  4. Intermediate experience in schedule management.

  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks.

  6. Good written and verbal communication skills.

  7. Precise hand-eye coordination.

  8. Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more and 20 inches or less, with the ability to judge distance and space relationships.

  9. Ability to identify and distinguish colors.

  10. Ability to read blueprints accurately.

  11. Ability to communicate progress, highlight issues, and provide recommendations to senior leadership.

  12. Safety training and knowledge of OSHA requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field of study.

  2. 5 or more years of construction project experience.

  3. Previous supervisory experience.

  4. Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications.

  5. Fundamental knowledge of Primavera P6.

  6. OSHA 10 Certification.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copiers, and scanners.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. This position is primarily sedentary, with some filing or lifting required. Must be able to bend and lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
