Job Title: Room Ready Installer

Reports To: Construction Manager


Self-motivated individual with a drive for success to install, maintain, and upgrade Telcom cabinets, Telcom shelters, and perform all room ready required work. Room Ready Installers should be versatile and possess the ability to assist in any part of the civil construction.

Key Responsibilities:

Install DC Power Plants, Routers, BBUs, and all Telcom related equipment.

Install DC and AC power circuits, fiber jumpers, ethernet cables.

Label and/or color code equipment, power circuits, and fibers per carrier requirements

Maintain project timeline as stated from Construction Manager

Complete daily site field reports

Complete daily site Job Safety Analysis

Collect all on-site closeout documentation and submit to the closeout manager per the deliverable timelines

Participate in continuous training offered by CMS Wireless including weekly safety call

Responsible for site quality, timeliness, accuracy, and schedule. Do grounding, terminations, fastening, proper bolting and antioxidant use, support of leads, cadwelding as required, etc.

Assist on overall job including groundwork, all tasks required to build and install a site per customer specs, maintain safe work environment, daily use, and completion of JSA forms, assist with overall crew work, maintenance of vehicles and equipment, etc.

Must know how to read and understand drawings, piping diagrams, job specifications, mounting specs, testing procedures, etc.

Must be able to work in a team environment on the crew and be a valued member of the team and the company.

Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 50 lbs. including body weight, equipment, tools, and boxes.

Must be willing to travel out of market/state, for up to two weeks at a time.

Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background, drug testing, and DOT physical

May be required to work long and unpredictable hours.

Position requires working outdoors in all types of weather.

Must possess valid driver's license. Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus

Minimum Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

Ability to read and understand drawings, piping diagrams, job specifications, mounting specs, testing procedures, etc.

Good computer skills required.

Ability to use electrical multimeter for testing AC and DC circuits

Ability to build RJ45 ethernet cables using 568B standard.

Ability to demonstrate proper use of power/hand tools.

Soft Skills:

Must be able to work in a team environment on the crew and be a valued member of the team and the company.

Communicate in person, by phone and radio with supervisor, Construction Manager, and co-workers

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with overtime requirements, and occasional overtime.


Regional travel is required for this position. Usually between 80 to 100% of the time.

Required Education and Experience:

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); related trade school education preferred.

1-2 years experience working on a civil construction crew or 2-3 years working under a licensed electrician.

Room Ready knowledge preferred.

Demonstrated ability to lead construction crew to complete project.
