YOU As a DEVSECOPS ENGINEER at Octo, you will join a product development team building a security-first Kubernetes platform supporting the development and automated deployment of software in secure environments. You are comfortable working independently and with a team of DevSecOps engineers, making decisions together to quickly deliver valuable working software to clients and their users. This mantra drives us to succeed and act as true partners in advancing our clients missions.Skills & RequirementsREQUIREMENTS... * 5+ years of professional experience deploying and maintaining AWS cloud infrastructure in medium to large and using AWS services (EC2, EKS, Lambda, etc.) * 3+ years of professional experience utilizing Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code technologies (Terraform, Ansible, etc) * Experience building and configuring Kubernetes clusters in production environments using tools like Kustomize or Helm * Experience building and configuring GitOps continuous delivery workflows using tools like Flux CD or Argo CD * Experience building and configuring cloud-native CI/CD pipelines using tools like Gitlab CI, Jenkins, or Circle CI * Experience designing and implementing security countermeasures to maintain system compliance with FedRAMP, DISA STIGs, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-171, or NIST 190 * Strong knowledge of concepts, methodologies and best practices - especially as they pertain to mitigating security risks, estimating tasks, and coding standardsDESIRED SKILLS: * Experience with common container security tools used in support of NIST 190 compliance (Anchore, Snyk, Twistlock, StackRox, etc) * Experience with Kubernetes Service Mesh platforms (Istio, Linkerd, Consul, Open Service Mesh, etc) * Ability to work remotely and collaborate with a team of DevSecOps engineers to deliver platform capabilities * Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with your own team as well as product vendors and government stakeholdersYEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 5+ years of experience (See specifics under "Requirements") EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience LOCATION: Remote CLEARANCE: None required (current/active security clearance is a plus) Associated topics: casino, countermeasure, patrol, public safety, safety officer, school, security, security officer, surveillance, unarmed
